Never thought to try it in the super! I'm kind of stuck on the # 383 and trying the new Lee 356–147.

It shoots very tight,up till,,1200 or so,then opens up.

And it seems to throw a flier once in awhile,,i mean really throw,,,4 inches or so!!
Think i need to cull these little buggers, alot more then usual.

That bullet also throws fliers in a 357 magnum too for some reason, but when it works it's great.

its because you are blowing the base out with the flyers
nope; that's not it, Average 947 ft/s, I never run magnum loads because on paper they are wast of time, unless a person wants to look cool. Lyman's Cast Bullet #4 , their best load for a 357 magnum is Acc#5, 12.2, with velocity of 1651 fps. Only shot 600 rounds with the 105, so far.

Check your atmospheric data ....... I got away with a bunch of loads at 80° 35% 4100' that wouldn't get it at 80° 70% and 480' . A large humidity shift or an inch of hg especially combined are huge .

I believe I have one of these molds. Dad had quite a few various lighter weight .38 bullets all cast up which since I am mainly a revolver shooter, I stick to the 150ish ones, but have recently been messing with a High Point 9mm carbine. I woner how this would work in a long barrel?

Only problem is that there so light weight,it takes more powder,to make the action work, then your at 1000 fps,or more.

I noticed this thread(?) while looking for info on cast 30-30. Interesting subject, since I have been running this bullet in a 357 sig for years.. The velocity really surprised me, especially that there was no leading. It tears up ground hogs, even, on marginal hits.

Shot the 105 at reduced range handgun silhouette. 25, 50, 75, and 100 yards in a .357 10" Contender with 9 grains of Bullseye. Ain't recommending that but it was a book charge for 110 grain jacketed. It got out to the rams quickly, minimal recoil. The jacketed shooters couldn't believe it. Never leaded up my Tender either.

I have tried it in just about every caliber I have that it will fit into. Even woks well in my 9mm's , has/have wedding problems in the 380;s

It is a great squirrel bullet in my m67 S&W .38 Special. It doesn’t shoot to the sights of my fixed sight .38s, though.
My wife’s Shield 9mm likes it over 5 grs of Bullseye but my CZ doesn’t like it so far.
