"I have enough lead on hand that I don’t even pick up range scrap any more"

Is that like " been married so long do not even look both ways when crossing street?"

Just kidding love the wife
Oh, I look both ways before crossing the street.

I have 5 buckets, 5 gallons buckets heaping full, of strange scrap to melt down. I generally get about 200# of ingots per bucket. I likely have about 12-1500 pounds in ingots already.

The range has plenty of range scrap if I need more. I can collect 500# in a year with no real effort.

Had two plastic milk cartons of Lyman ingots in the barn. Time to relocate to shop. Couldn’t move them after 17 years in the barn. Could it be possible that lead gets heavier over the years? I know I moved them, unloaded and moved them in there in 2006. Is it possible that age is a factor. Got my handyman to help and they’re back in the flow again.
Now there’s two 5 gallon buckets of vintage WWs to be moved. This time, I’ll take the dolly.

I feel your pain!!! I went to pick up a large ammo can full-on lead ingots and could swear that it glued itself to the floor. :(

I built a storage shed about 15 years ago, and stored 10 50 caliber ammo cans of ingots. Now I can't move them as they are under shelves.

Most of my raw castings are stored in 1# coffee cans, and weight 12#-13# when full up. Not too bad to manage. My bulk metals are put up in 3-gallon and 5-gallon plastic pails, and the heaviest might be ~85# since the 5-pounders are only 2/3 full. I move those with a hand truck--got to know your limitations, and I'm more than a little lazy of late.

My casting bench has a shelf that allows 30 gallon Rubbermaid bins to slip under. The bins stick out enough to allow access to the loose stores ingots in the 3 bins. I figure each bins can hold 400# or more.
My range scrap is in 5 gallon buckets and those don’t move once full. I keep them close tot he garage door so when I smelt I can use a shovel to get the scrap from bucket to pot.
