Has anyone shot the 309-169 Elco?

nope,,, [I still ain't shot the XCB boolit either]
I'd bet DETOX has though.
but if your looking for high velocity [accuracy] plain and simply I don't think that it's the answer.
give us a little more information as to what uses you are looking for and we can probably help.

I really think it will be pretty accurate but at the normal velocity's we normally shoot cast at.
it might should let you breach the rpm wall thingy by a couple of hundred fps, but without measurements it's hard to make a prediction.

I don't have a tachometer on any of my barrels. Its too pointy for a hunting bullet, so that leaves punching paper and sniping at targets of opportunity out yonder. There appears to be a better balance of groove diameter and tapered (engraved) ogive than the 311299.
