Well I ordered a new Sightron SRS-2 red dot. Midway has a sale on them right now for $120. Normal sale price right now is $160-$180. 2 MOA dot. Now I just need to get the scope mount ordered from Weigand Machine.
My new 357 Revolver. I cant get into my eye Dr. for 4 months when the insurance will cover it again. My eyes changed fast this last time. So, a red dot it is till I can see again.
Kind of excited. I have always heard good things about Sightron. And this is about the same price as a lot of the Amazon junk.
Good to hear! There is not much out there about them. Mount and the red dot are supposed to be here Mon. The shipping from Midway is a joke. From Columbia MO to Kansas City, Back to Columbia, Back to KC Then to Chicago. Then to my local PO. Don't understand how they can make any money doing this.
It's 12 hr 35 min most days to their front door . Last order took 4 days to clear Missouri then to Fayetteville about 90 miles and 2 hour north of me ,over to Little Rock 140 miles east , back to Ft Smith about half way between us and Fayetteville, then Waldron, and out for delivery . 3 more days in Arkansas.......
Got everything mounted up. It looks good. Had trouble finding a punch to take out the pin that the rear sight mounts with. I can not find my new set of punches I got back in Dec. Went through my regular punches but nothing small enough. Sooo, a drill bit got sacrificed. Turns out the pin has to be driven out from the right to the left. It would not budge the other way. Broke the drill bit twice before I thought about hot the pins in an AR15 front sight have to be driven from right to left.
Hopefully I will get out to try it this week. I am letting the locktite set up for a day at least. I ran out of my activator for the compound to set up in an hour. So it is at least 24hrs.
300hrs for a 50 cent battery? If that makes you pass then i guess you are pickier than me. You must not have ever had one of the older red dots when you are lucky if they lasted 50 hours.
