Are those Eastwood colors? I like those (bottom - 30 cal candy coat )Trial run..........,
Here's what worked for me. Full length sized the brass, then crimp the mouths in the seating die, just enough to hold the bullets snugly. These are 45Acp brass holding 45-70 bullets.
Cases screwed to a 1/8'' alum. plate.

Snug fit.

Coated with spray gun. Didn't like the finish from plastic BB's.
Don't remember why I used alum. foil under the 45 cases.

Gas check shank stays clean.

For 30 cal. bullets I pop riveted 308 cases to a 1/8'' alum. plate (1/2'' rivets) Drilled the flash holes 1/8''. Again the case mouths were crimped just enough to hold the bullets (gas check shank) snugly.
The bullets do tend to stick a little. Sometimes a lot.
This worked well for me. Hope someone finds this useful.
Cliff.

I build them now as an adult. I also make them look weathered and rusty too so....You never built models as a kid did you?
The icecube tray would be easier to do seeing you wouldn't have to make "posts" to punch/drill the holes, you just need a flat surface of wood or plastic to drill/punch into. There was a guy that posted something like this over on the other forum about a month ago. He used the silcone ice trays and a piece of brass to make his holes. Another variation I reckon.
My thought was nose first in screen,I'll try it an see next ones I do...just have check the hardware stores for size..one can always open it a little with a screw driver..Will
If you can find yourself a perforated plate That would allow you to set the bullets in nose first the bad marks would be on the ogive...If you are lucky like me the metal perf area doesn't touch my rifling nor my chamber!
When you get older you tend to shake more! I have used plastic bullet trays in the past to set my bullets on the silicon sheet Like nice little soldiers ! however recently I can't lift the darn plastic holders off the 50 bullets with out tipping over the whole mess! because I shake at the last moment!
