Thank you again !! Now this does look like the simplest method. Have to go dig through my small steel pieces bin and see what I have laying around.

No sight, just picsCharger..... Could you measure the width between the legs and the length on that sight. Well that is if you have that one in your possession.
Missonary, I'm going to try to do some measuring on mine in the next few days. I'd imagine the windage "legs" would be 1/8-3/16" from the side of the extractor, or thereabouts. The screws look to be about 8-40 size or so and we should be able to judge the overall length by the diameter of the extractor screw/pin. I'm guessing no more than 2" long.Charger..... Good point! I just went through the whole safety clearing thing mounting a Lyman JES on my Steyr 95. I will say this, double sided tape is a GREAT tool for helping to figure just where something should go.If you are going to tap for eyepiece disks make sure to shorten it up enough so the safety clears the sight. That looks to be the limiting factor on length.
I'm assuming the front nut on the sight is welded to the sight, is that correct?
That makes it all easier.
Now I a wondering if that attaching screw is longer than the original screw ?
