Then you'd want to stay out of Arkansas, fireworks are legal here at certain time of the year. Now and around Christmas/New Year. Have heard them for the last week/week and a half. All times of the day and night.Didn't drive far, but the motorhome is set up and nestled next to an ancient coastal live oak. No television, no telephone, no street noise, no illegal fireworks, no anxious dog because of illegal fireworks.
Ahhh . . . peace and quiet . . .
Prices have gone nuts on everything. Were trying to help oldest girl get a home. I know my ideas of home values are a bit dated, but holy crap! It's only going to get worse. Although- a 99 is one of the few guns I'd consider paying over a grand for, if it was the right one. Not like they're making them anymore. Finest lever action ever!I went to a Pawn shop today. Thay had two nice Savage 99. Both were in very good condition. One was chambered in 375 with a price of 2500$. The other was in 358 W they only wanted 1500$ for that one. Needless to say they are both there.
Other than "safe and sane" fireworks, fireworks are illegal in my area because of the fire danger they pose. Even in non-drought years grasses are brown by May. Despite the local bans, every year my city and the adjoining one's fire departments respond to neighborhood fires. Then you'd want to stay out of Arkansas, fireworks are legal here at certain time of the year. Caught two just short Largemouths (14 & 14.75") on 6" Reef Runners (Pearl Orange Tiger) and good size Gar........Gar even broke water. Only the second time I've ever caught a Gar on a plug. Lost a very nice fish, Striper I presume, straightened the front and rear treble hooks on the same Reef Runner. The other three rods got zero action........two with Alabama Rigs (5 - 4.5" Shadalicious swimbaits) and the other with a different color Reef Runner.
I can't help with current info, but in 1997, when I bought plane tickets, the round trip from Mpls to Anchorage was less money than Anchorage to Aniak, where my Native cousins live. My flight to Aniak was in a 19 seat twin prop, I was the only passenger. The wife has been doing searches for information for our trip later this month to Alaska. There sure are alot of places and side trips we can take. The trouble is most of those places are only excisable by plane of boat. An the cost adds up really fast.
She most recently has found sites that show Grizzley's in real time feeding in a small waterfall situation. After watching the bears feeding it is easy to understand how the uninformed could get the idea they are all cute and cuddly.
I would like to give a shout out to Glaicar for the helping hand he has given for information.
