I Know Jess does a great reboing job on rifles for 35 cal & +
But is there any other person reboing for Sub 30 caliber cartridges re: 7mm, 6.5 mm, or 25 ?
Don’t sell yourself short Ian. That worn out bit will leave plenty of twist marks all thru the “rebore”. That sucker will have more grooves than a classic album.I can bore it out for you, but you're on your own if you want the twisty part carved in it.
Now that made me laugh.Don’t sell yourself short Ian. That worn out bit will leave plenty of twist marks all thru the “rebore”. That sucker will have more grooves than a classic album.
Think of the threshold on that twist rate.....Yeah, with a 8,500-in-1" ROT it ought to shoot real, real slow, too. Should I copyright the name "Micro-Gouge rifling?
It seems the era of true gun craftsmen is coming to an end.
My Dad's very last project was a Hi-Wall. He had Buhmiller in Kalipell. MT re-barrel it to .45-70. My Dad only had one scope an old Unertl target 3/4" from way back. Not on this .45-70 however. It has an old vintage tang sight and a Lyman 17A front. I really want to drill and tap that barrel for scope mounts! But every time I start to layout the holes it feels like someone is watching me.......I can't bring myself to drill and tap holes in a classic rifle. But that's just me.
