Yes, it appeared Bill took his ball & went home. Looked like he took personally Ian & Ricks comments on bicyclists.

Looks like Smokey took annoyance from Rick about security needs.

I don't think that was the intended outcome for either situation. It does happen sometimes we have to agree to disagree on certain things.

Hope those gents come back around & do as they please. We can't all agree on every subject.

I'm a bicyclist, but somehow missed the "offensive" comments. Would someone be kind enough to send me a personal message with either a link to those comments or the comments themselves? Cyclists may not want to hear criticism, but it's sometimes warranted. Motorists OTOH need to watch out for us and assume we'll sometimes do something stupid. Btw, my daughter was grazed by a car last spring (knocked off bike, minor cuts & bruises; she & bike were OK, but p.o.'ed) by a driver who clearly didn't see her/cut her off in spite of the neon clothing, bike lights on fore & aft, and it being broad daylight. (I witnessed it and barely got out of the way myself.)

As for my comments I just re-read them and don't think they were out of line but I wasn't commenting on cyclists in Kansas, I have zero experience there. My comments were on cyclists where I do have plenty of experience, in California. Perhaps cyclists in Kansas have a different/better attitude, don't know. Bill seemed to think the cyclist comments were directed directly to him, not so.

Usually if something offends you it’s because what was said is correct.
When somebody tells me something I know to be ignorant I don’t pay any attention to it.

Anyone hear anything from these 2 lately? Hope they come back soon.
I miss them both and also hope the come back soon.
With that said, sometimes it's good to step back and take some time off (the internet in general), if for no other reason, to gain perspective.

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
My perspective- After getting booted from The Site Which Shall Not Be Named I spent several years looking for a replacement. I found a couple of other guys that had also gotten the boot from "there", but the other sites lacked whatever it was that I was used to. One day a couple years back I somehow stumbled into this site and found many of my old com padres that had also either been declared persona non grata or had left on their own due to the changes "there". So I look at it like this, I get pissed off just like anyone else. But I've been without our little form of happily enabling, lead pouring, support group. I come here as a form of therapy and socialization as much as to keep up on casting. I don't think there is a single soul here that would intentionally say anything hurtful to anyone else. If I do find myself getting pissy, I usually also find out it's just the mood I'm in to start with.

Jim posted some nice picks of himself and his brothers the other day. I have 2 brothers, we don't speak at all. I'm okay with that 'cuz I got's youse guys to BS with. IMO, that's what this place provides above and beyond the casting stuff.

It's a function (math can explain a lot) of "faceless" communication.

"You're a raving dumbarse".... written, loses the wry smile or smirk. In person, the response would be "X"..... on the innertube, who effen knows? Person #2 got bent when #1 comment was just idle playground chit chat.

It comes with the territory. It's all a commie plot perpetrated by Democrats. JOKING,don't ban me.

Just when I needed Pistolero help,razzlefrazzin**@##...... with the new commander. He gets pi$$ed and leaves.

*"Lavender code"; not that there aren't a dz guys on here that know 1911's. It's just they were Pistolero's passion.

I rode a ten speed, back and forth to work, all year round. Rain, snow, sleet or high water. Wind was the worst, if blowing directly in your face. Peddling was challenging. Was exactly one mile from my house to the GM plant, I worked at. My van, wouldn't even warm up, on that short of distance. Didn't have to park in the back forty of the parking lot, either. Chained it up, right next to the guard shack. I was the first one out of the lot. Been hit by careless drivers, twice. Clipped my rear wheel, when one ran a stop sign and had another one open a car door, just as I was along side. Survived both, with minor scrapes and bruising. Don't hear me complaining.................just another day in the neighborhood.

The faceless communication makes a big difference when we get "cute" in any comment. Just the facts has less chance of offending...sometimes. I hope they will return.

Really? Must be old timers setting in. Typical though for me, I can't recall if I showered yesterday but I can recall meals I ate in 1975!
