Hi Guys ,
Just wondering if any of you use CBD oil? My Boss, who is retired in South Carolina and is about 75 years old, said it Is a GOD send for living life in our later years!
Said he thinks more clearly and he has more energy , and helps him work more efficiently! ( he is a wood worker in his retired life and man he is a powerhouse of energy!) He sent me a bottle to try & Said it takes awhile to have an effect! I have been reading up on it and found it isn't considered a drug, It is just a byproduct of the Hemp plant. Now I know I use Old Spice Hemp oil deodorant ... and I have been to a restaurant that uses hemp seed oil in there recipes and I don't get high, but the food is exceptional. Just trying to get your unbiased take on the stuff!

My local apothecary is up on it, I got a brochure from them that has all the sciencey-sounding stuff about "CBD Receptors" and how the stuff can cure everything from indigestion and chronic anxiety to world conflict (but, oddly, not world hunger???) I found the oil didn't do anything for me, wife the same. Delta 8 helps her pain on really bad fibromyalgea days, but that stuff makes me high as a kite for a couple hours and very, very, inexplicably ANGRY for about six hours afterward and doesn't help pain.

I say try it. Try the borderline-legal Delta 8 stuff too, it might work for you. Everybody's different. As far as I'm concerned, never had a good experience with any version including (allegedly) exposure to the real deal. The only part of that plant I'll get near is the part they make into rope. Some people cannot function productively without being stoned 24/7 (ADHD), and I say good for them.

Tried that for my arthritic hands and feet. Saw some relief for about a week, less every day after that. Went back to Tylenol, that is wonderful for me, but not 60% of other folks. Since you can buy pot at the grocery store here in WA, all that stuff is available. Most is psychosomatic effect. Gin is always a backup.

Tried the real stuff when younger. Really didn't care for it. Lifelong friend that past away from cancer 3 years ago was using it and the weed in the last 6 months he was here. He said it helped to get him by. 68yo and the first time he smoked weed. I miss him.

Recently, went the CBD route. Started with the gummies, then tried the oil. Both distilled and whole flower. Supposed to help with pain and also a sleep aid. My shoulders still wake me up when I turn in bed. So, I won't be buying anymore oil.

Last visit to my family doctor, I asked about what I could take for shoulder pain. I'm alreading taking maximum doses of Celebrex, before bedtime. He said, baring opiates.............not much. He said he'll tell the staff to put a OK on my record for a Medical Marijuana card. I'm OK with that, except I would have to surrender my CC license, as well as not being able to purchase any more firearms............ that's not an option!

Week or so ago, I went to the orthopedic surgeon. Took X-rays of both. Advanced arthritis. Last week, went back to his office for an MRI on the right, to determine if I have torn rotor cuff. Doctor didn't think so, based on the few exercises he had me do, initially. Shoulder replacement procedure is different, depending on condition of rotor cuff.

Don't have the results of the MRI. I'm waiting on an appointment, after insurance approval, for straightening of two fingers on my right hand..........due to Dupuytren's contracture. Had one of the two straightened few years ago.

Before, I take one shoulder out of service, need to have both hands working.

Old age ain't for sissies.

I hesitate to post about this, as this topic can be controversial.

Yep, mine comes from Kentucky with seals and third party lab certification. It's not inexpensive. A 30 day supply is $99.00, unless you subscribe to auto delivery, then you get 25% off. Legally, 2 mg of THC is the maximum allowed per serving. The distilled oil has less than 2 mg of THC.

Guy I shoot with was a serious weight-lifter in his youth. He's 70 now and a chubby crippled mess. He can barely turn his head. He knows a hippy over in VT that makes CBD oil herself and sells it. She gave him some to try and he said it was like somebody flicking a switch. He now buys it from her. I suspect like everything else today, you have to check the source for the product. Plenty of scammers out there selling stuff that just barely qualifies to be what the label says it is. We were given some by a neighbor of my cousin's at the lake. We tried it. Did nothing. Suspect it was repackaged Mazola.

I've posted this here before. I take Extra Strength Glucosamine/Chondroitin with MSM from Puritans Pride. Here's a link to the product:

I was turned onto this stuff by a guy I know in Richmond. He is a retired contractor and said he would not be able to move if it were not for this stuff. At the time, my thumbs were so full of arthritis that I could not snap my fingers and could barely hold a coffee cup. This was the result of hyperextending them both multiple times in skiing accidents and other foolishness. Cleaning parts, trying to fit screws and other parts was truly tortuous. I had tried other brands of Chondroitin in the past with no positive results. He warned me that it does not work overnight and can take several months. I took it religiously every day. Then after a few months I was watching TV and realized that my thumbs did not hurt any longer. It was truly like somebody had simply taken away the pain. I suspect that the pain subsided slowly and I did not notice until it was gone. I tend to not be a whiner about aches and pains as it accomplishes nothing. I know my spine is loaded with arthritis and yet I'm still pretty limber and not much slows me down. I suspect my joints would be hurting me a lot more if I did not take this stuff. No side effects whatsoever.

I don't recommend anything on hearsay or other's success stories. It has to work for me to tell anyone about it. This stuff works!

Much of what I learned about this, is from a grower who is also a bullet caster (from the other forum), who is a grower in Co. I buy his products, they are not cheap, they have all been tested and each product comes with test info.
"Tested"--for THC content by the producer or third party lab, or for safety/efficacy by the FDA?

I don't really care what people do as long as they aren't harming anyone else, but the nonsense from the potheads and pot promoters just bugs me. To listen to them it is good for anything that ails a person: clears the skin, prolongs life, cures diarrhea and constipation and bleeding piles, makes the lame walk and the blind see, while somehow being non-addictive and incapable of causing harm.

Everything is addictive. Just depends on if you let it be. I would rather have people smoking pot then drinking alcohol. That is one drug that should have stayed illegal.

Tomme is correct, in the sense that a pot high wears off a lot faster than an alcohol induced one. One hour or less versus, two hours/per drink or more...............making operating a motor vehicle relatively safer.

That's what all the pot heads want you to believe. Pity it just t'ain't so or legal.

It's legal in the majority of the country..........the Bible Belt is the last to get on board.

Name one state where it's legal to drive under the influence.

I doubt you sincerely care, but a quick google search of Big Nugget Farm will bring up a website with all the Lab analysis'

Weed is still a class 1 by the Feds . Until that changes it's still possible for federal prosecution .

I always believed that legalize and tax was cheaper than seize and prosecution.

In down town there was a mall that had be cited twice for hedge row violations that obstructed street entry line of sight . There was a motor cop no lights , no siren , splitting a lane 52 in a 25 . This 20 something is edging out past the hedge row and the motor cop hits her 8? Chevy 1500 just inside the wheel well . A 600# Harley/Honda/Kawasaki isn't much of a match for a full size P'up , and the motor cop died from head , neck , and chest trauma when he hit a legally parked car . The 20 something did 5 yr of a 5-7 enhanced to 12 because on Tuesday morning after a smoke on Friday she was still positive for THC . It charged as DUI with a fatality accident involving a police officer and she was given the opportunity to plead out on vehicular manslaughter.
That bothered me a lot . The reality of it is that the MC was dead ass in the wrong whether he was responding to a call or not . He was double the speed limit and NV doesn't allow lane sharing and he was dark and quiet . The cop got full honors ,union , life , KILD payouts and the insurance payout from the 20? . The city arrived and fixed the hedge that had been a repeat offense . The property owners paid the citation and the fees for the hedge trimmers.

If it's still DUI 4 days after the toke ...... I'd bet Everclear to alcohol poisoning Friday night would be clean blood and pee by Sunday night is all .

Growing, possessing, using, selling, shipping nationwide of Hemp and Hemp derived products has been Legalized by the Federal Government since 2018.
.
Some of you are talking about another thing.

"The 2018 Farm Bill defines hemp as Cannabis sativa L. and “any part of that plant, including the seeds thereof and all derivatives, extracts, cannabinoids, isomers, acids, salts, and salts of isomers,” with no more than a 0.3 percent concentration of THC."
