Took an hr this a.m. to make this. Not a whole lot to it..... scrap plywood for the body, old metal real estate sign as material for roof.

Put some water born solid color deck stain on it cause it only takes 5 minutes. Sprayed the century 21 roof with some leftover bronze we used for a custom kitchen metal stove hoody.

Paper is 12X18 $$$ my daughter in law gave me. It's 100% water proof and registers very clean holes. The sides on the frame are to keep the wind from tearing it off..... the roof protects plywood edges.8540

Nice work. Mine would be considered sub standard in comparison.

1964 Weyerhouser plywood from a house my cousin built in..... '64. Instead of the usual BS method of putting hdwd over the underlayment (which yields unlevel floor and jamb saw use)...... we pulled up the plywood, put in real hdwd( NOT prefinished).

I took it along with a bunch of real '64,same co's,1/4" "paneling" home. It both makes today's plywood look like proverbial dog doodoo.

Have been using it for all kinds of stuff over the last 5 years or so.... just a dang pleasure to work with. The century 21 sign has been in shop for 20+ years. It was used as a "scatter shield" for years when doing heavy grinding by bending it at a 90* and placing it downstream. Got a bunch of sheet metal, even piles of 16oz copper but the old sign needed a new home (ha).

I just use 1/8" wire rope strung between T-posts. Drape cut up cardboard boxes, using the fold as support, as target backers.
