That look's like a nice one John. good luck with your project.

We bought a 1952 that is 32 ft. long was under a garage for most of it's life , we were going to use it as a guest house << never happened, I use it to store all of Mrs. G's "lawn art " & table & chair's in........ so goes life --they say.

Yeah Bret I'm only going to get up on top, when I seal the roof, by spanning the roof with a 2 foot wide 8 foot piece of 3/4" plywood to spread out my weight.

Next it goes back inside, up on jack stands, need about a foot of elevation to work under.
Frame tongue is bent. Going to put a pair of 2” x 4” schedule 80 square tubes under and u-bolt it.
Remove windows rebuild, clean up, reinstall sealed correctly.
Door and jam need to come out, save the skin inside and out, rebuild door internal frame and re-skin and paint. While jam assembly is out inspect door jam frame in wall and replace as needed.
Same processes for the trunk door.
Run new 12 volt wiring. 110 volt system is good.
Inside going to clean and remove water stains under windows. If that does not work we will paint the paneling. All cabinets will be refinished as well as all cabinet drawer fronts and doors.
Repair or replace fridge. Same with furnace. Both might work don’t know yet.
Change water system over from air pressure pump to 12 volt pump. Plumbing looks ok, but not sure about water heater.
Holding tank plumbing is suspect.
Front wall under window needs to be re-skinned and some new frame members. Will remove dinette to do this.
Karyn will do all the upholstery and curtains.
Will remove axel and replace or at least flip under springs to gain about 4” of height. Rebuild electric brakes
That’s about it.

I had a Coleman tent trailer that slept 6 I towed behind the VW van. Sold it for what I paid for it after the kids got to old to 'vacation' with mom & pop. Same with the boat. Haven't had either since.

 "Boat": a hole in the water you throw money into. Had trailer boats for 30 years, aluminum, plastic and wood. When I retired and on a fixed income, they went away, never to return.

Had one of them myself and the phrase goes . . . A hole in the water you try to fill with money.

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.

In all seriousness, this might be a perfect place for scaffolding on both sides and 2x12's supported by them to kneel on while doing the job.

Propane fridges work really good, although I still don't understand how. If you have to replace yours, try selling the old one. It's odd the number of people that bid insane $$$ for old Servel type fridges around here for use at camp.

I believe the correct phrase is:
Break Out Another Thousand.

And ISPs your messing with larger vessels:

Break Out Another Ten Thousand.

I must be some lucky with mine.
about all I've bought is a new battery, and a pair of spark plugs since I got it 10 years ago.
I've expected to have something give me grief, since the motor is an 85 and the boat is airc an 87.
but it keeps on clicking along like it's supposed to.

I've had to spend money to keep my 16' Grumman canoe going. Paddles rot, seats rot, ropes rot, managed to put a hole in it once shooting rapids, it never ends.

No one did aluminum better than Grumman.
Airplanes, trucks, boats, missiles, Lunar Landers… The early Grumman canoes, made before the name was sold to Marathon, command insane amounts of money in my neck of the woods. People search for those things and offer top dollar on sight when they find an old one in decent shape.

I've never tried to have fun with money. Maybe I could sit in a counting house like Scrooge McDuck and toss it over my head. Now toys, those I've had fun with.

I've got a 1968 19' square stern Grumman I bought for my second Moose hunt that never happened. That Grumman isn't even scratched up much less dented. The decals did fall off after 50 years.

Chain that thing to a tree! That would get stolen in these parts in less than a week.

Hey, I resemble that. Nearly $2K/ year before even firing it up the first time each season.

Had a RV from 1980 till 2011....... when I moved to Arkansas.. Class B TransVan from 1980 till 93 when I moved up to a C class Tioga. Really like the B-class because it doubled as a second vehicle. Could park it anywhere you could park a full size van.

What the heck................it's only money.

And your still RV'ing. Only difference is your current one floats instead of rolls and you can park it only at a dock. ;)

Down here you frequently see targets set up out in fields where local folks sight in their deer and coyote rifles. That sends a message. From the little town road we live on you can see my 80, 160, 210, 350, and 440 yard rails all with white painted targets or gongs nicely contrasted against the Summer green vegetation. We introduced ourselves to a new part time neighbor recently. First thing he and his 20 year old son mentioned was, "Is that your place with the shooting range? We are so jealous." Such things get noticed by all sorts of folks.
