My grandson Trevor wanted to shoot my new Ruger 9mm PC9 carbine.

For his 1st time to shoot the rifle, I thought he did pretty well.

Here he is shooting the rifle.
25 yards

While it won't win a match, this is his 1st group with the rifle :

We fired around 200 rounds out of the rifle today.
Not a single malfunction of any type.
The bore didn't lead with my cast bullets .
I fired nothing but cast bullets today.
I fired the 356402 at .357, I fired the Accurate plain base 130 gr. TC.
I fired the 125 gr. plain base Lyman 358242. All shot well with no malfunctions.

Here is my own 7 round group fired at 40 yards off the bench.
The load was 3.8 grs. of B'Eye with the 356402 sized to .357 with Win. Small pistol primers. :

Dang Ben.... you have taught that boy well!
His hold and stance with that rifle was amazing for his age!
Great shooting!

Thank you for a nice range report!
That sure looks like a fun rifle to shoot, but it will probably develop a fierce apetite for ammo!
Good shooting, both of you!

I love that little carbine. Need a dot, Holo, or some sort of scope.....
Might be my new jackrabbit rifle.

The one that was on it today is a 1x - 4 x with a circle / dot. About ideal IMO.

I have several more ( about 7 more ) 9 mm bullet designs to experiment with.

Trevor will experiment you into bankruptcy.

That is one lucky kid. And you are lucky to have him.
