image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg Well, I did it! My brother did too. Went out to the desert for the weekend camping and did some shooting. We had the rifles zero do at 300 yards and we started off at the 1500 yard plate. After we made a few hits there we made our adjustments and tried the mile target. Believe it or not I hit the target with my first round. I only got to fire a total of six rounds at that target before we got rained out but I hit it twice. We were shooting a 300 grain Nosler custom competition bullet at 2700 ft./s. The wind was blowing pretty good and push the bullet from left to right about 9 feet. Here are a few pics.

The two hits on the left of the target are mine. The one in the orange was my first. My brother hit the top right of the plate.

The round orange plate is 10" and it's at 1000 yards. The next target is at 1500 and the the mile.

Wow. Love it when a plan comes together! Interesting how the beard angle is matching the wind flags, I'm surprised the windage wasn't more than nine feet.

Pretty cool when you can point out the range on Google Earth. Reach out and smack something. Could you hear the mile gong ring?

If I was wearing the electric ear muffs, yes. It took a while, 6-7 seconds, but yes.

Brad. That was the plan but it started raining BAD and we packed up camp and headed home....
