300BLK, NOE 30 Hunter, SR4759

The other day at the range when I got the great results with my Rem. 788 308 I also tested some Blackout loads. One that showed promise was the same NOE 30 Hunter bullet. 190-191gr. sized to .311" lubed with BAC and rolled in BLL. I seated these over 10gr of SR4759. I only loaded five rounds and it took two to get back to paper at 100 from shooting the Lee 155 with 15gr of IMR4227. The remaining three round were almost touching. I am in the process of loading up 20 more tonight to take back out. That little 2x7 scope with the round circles for the reticle sure makes it hard to use at that distance!
I'll report back when I get a chance to shoot them.

Right? It was a package deal from Cabelas that I got a screaming deal on. They scope fits the little rifle nicely and to be honest 100 is probably the MAX I'll shoot this gun.

Wow, that hunter bullet seems to want to shoot in just about any 30 cal. according to all the reports i've been seeing.

Looks like you may have found another good load for it!

Nice Ben! I checked and NOE still has moulds in pb and gc versions available, but are sold out of double cavity with gc and pb in the same mould, which is what i prefer.

Waco, you have some very accurate rifles and i think the little 300 blk is a very interesting one indeed.

Walter ,

Your post encouraged me to fire up the pot and cast more plain base .30 cal. Hunter's.

These are great shooting bullets out of every .30 cal. pistol and rifle that I own ( about 15 ea. ) ! !

My T/C Super 14 , 30-30 Win., sized .310" , with 7.2 grs. of B'eye will chew a hole out with the Hunter Plain Base at 50 yards ! !
