I am interested in a .315 sizer die for my RCBS sizer.
I am somewhat new to this site, but there seems to be people here capable of making me one.
Any recommendations?
PM me if you are interested with your price please....dale

Might try Bruce Frechette aka Ammohead over on Castboolits . I think around $25 .

We do have a gentleman , Kieth , that makes blanks here professionally .

A .314 may be available for sale and it is my understanding that that's not a bad lap up to .315 if needed . Even as much as .003-4 isn't too hard .

Lot's of us have probably met Dale, I have even though it's been about 35 years since I've been to his house.

Don't go to Boolits much anymore but several years ago I had a sizing die made, Chuckbuster was the guy's handle. Don't know if he is still around. Nice die.

Lathesmith over on CastBoolits makes quality sizing dies as well. I have a couple of his creations in odd sizes.

Here is the die. Need the stem that goes inside yet. A bullet shoved thru runs .3148-.3152

This was made on a blank from Keith. Those blanks machine so nice. Thanks Keith.

Yep, Keith's blanks take enough of the PITA out of the process to be worth doing from "scratch" rather than modifying an existing one. Lots cheaper, too.

I'd stay with a solid propellant.
then you can keep it sealed from the elements easier, and it won't leak down or change pressure from temperature variances.
boom.....

Brad, what material are you using for the ejectors?
I have been using 1144 for ejectors and pretty much anything else where I can. Keith got me started on 1144 and I have to admit that I fell in love with the ease of machining. Almost as good as 12L14 but without the instant rusting.

Got it all done. The damn 5 stamp double struck on me.
The ejector has a hole clean thru to bleed excess lube and help prevent buildup under the base.
Die will ship with the O rings Keith included with the blank.

Ian, I generally order metal from SpeedyMetal. A 36” chunk of 1144 3/8” diameter is $11.56 I believe.
Shipping sucks but I usually buy a 3-6 36” pieces at once to help make shipping less of a pain.

Brad,
The double-struck 5 makes the die an instant collectors item. Offer it on that auction site for $100, and make Dale another.

The sizing die he made me a couple years ago is perfectly stamped, looks like a machine did it. Bummer on the collector value but it sizes paper-jacket cores like a champ.

I will report as I get the chance to use it.
Life seems to be getting in the way lately.
