Wanted: .38 Special or .357 Magnum carbide die set. RCBS is preferred, but any brand will do if they haven't been abused and the set is complete.

Read it, and thanks, Ian!

I'll wait to hear from you.

Not being a .38 Special shooter, I gave a friend, who is, several hundred pieces of once-fired brass, but saved some just in case. I'll made a count and let you know if more is needed.

Thanks.

Will do, I gotta go through some boxes in the store room tonight and see what all is there. Over the years I picked up a lot of cheap .38 die sets that nobody seemed to want at gun shows, hard to pass up a good old 3-die RCBS set in the box for ten bucks just on principle, never know when it might be needed.

Ian,
There is no hurray, I still have to jump through the flaming 10-day waiting period hoop.

Yep, and that mastodon-killing cartridge makes matters all the worse.

Ok, I got a set put together for you. Its a 1981 steel RCBS 38/.357 dual-purpose set with the decapper in the sizing die instead of on the tip of the expander like the older models had. Theres some light staining in a few places and light plier marks on some of the knurled nuts but overall are in good condition. I found an extra Lee carbide sizing die to send along, they wasp-waist the brass just as well as any other and I don't have any RCBS carbide dies at all. Also scared up an extra RCBS #6 shellholder from the coffee can o' small parts.

I can include a round nose seating punch in addition to the rfn and both large and small-nose SWC punches if you need it, but if not I'll leave the rn punch with my other extra full set. Let me know and send me a PM with your address.
