Haven’t received it yet!!! I bought the gun it was a store floor mod 100 cheaper than a new one, then bought the brass from grafs, the mold/top punch/ sizer from noe, but no dies. Still need to get dies

Yippie, skippy for loading gates!!

Mr. Henry designed a very nifty action, Mr. King made a rather spiffy improvement.

Never owner a 41 mag anything. I can see the appeal, just never got one.

A new lever action is always a good thing.

I hate the loading tube. If I had to be honest it was the right price and that dictated the purchase. I’m cool w it. I’m going to see if rel 7 works. I have 12 lbs and 357 doesn’t work too well in it.

Have you used a loading tube much? I bet you don't hate it as much as you think you will.

Time to update your signature line, you're in the "club" now

The only time I actually loaded my gun while in action is after I shot at a turkey once while standing and another time while flying away. As I was walking towards a flipping turkey I was reloading. 20 years of hunting I only had to reload while walking. 10 rounds should darn well last for a hunting excursion.

The tubular mag/"Load it like a 22 LR" is a non-issue for me. I definitely like how my Henry steel 357 shoots on targets.

Henry is going to add loading gates to their rifles.
they listen to their customers and they get too many complaints about not having one.

I'm pretty positive that as soon as they produce a 41 mag with a loading gate I will be in or online ordering one, and a new RNFP mold.

So I needed dies. Someone on the other site had a mold, dies , gaschecks, fact crimp die, Lyman .410 siZer. 70 bucks. Figured that was a good enough deal

The mould was a 410610 Lyman. It’s a semi wad cutter gas check. Wonder if that’ll even function in my gun

Some SWC designs work all right, some don't. My Henry 357 dotes upon Lyman #358156 seated and crimped into the upper crimp groove. It chokes HARD on #358429 crimped in the groove.

I bet that Lyman SWC will work in the Henry. I have that 410610 mold, but haven't loaded any for my Henry, yet. But I have loaded a few other brands of SWC bullets for my Henry (Lee, Saeco 411, NOE-Keith). Of those three, my Henry liked the Lee 195gr SWC the best. I also had Arsenal make a custom lightweight SWC, kinda like the Lee, but has a longer nose....it cycles fine in the Henry.

the 410 has a fairly short nose on it so it might do okay.
gas checks on the other hand can be hit or miss with the 41.
I have to sit and tap open the gator checks I have to get them pressed in place.
I still lose a number of them when I rollover an edge..
they do shoot well though so I go through the trouble [for now]

Just a heads up, I had some issues with mine, FTF/FTE, happened about 25% of the time. When it was all said and done, Henry replaced some parts... I believe the main issue was the lifter was loose/sloppy. My theory is that could be common on the early 41 mag guns. Since your's was a store floor model, it could be an early gun and may have a similar issue...If it does, don't wait over a year to send it in to Henry, like I did...send it in right away.
Here are the highlights of that whole deal:
