I thought that I knew a little about Lyman moulds, I guess not..........
I've never seen, read, or heard of that one.

I've looked at it in the flesh. Doesn't appear to be modified. Waiting on some samples to play with but NC to KY is a long way and visits are between./beagle

At large, whereabouts unknown.
My first too. It resembles 429667 but ain't the same. It looks like something Lee Jurras would design :)

I think this one came out around the same time as NEI made the JD Jones designs.

I had one, as I recall it was ~240 grains. Accuracy was lacking in my revolvers, though as pressures went up the group sizes dropped. I had the bevel milled off, but that didn't help. I gave up after over-book loads with H110 and 1680 still weren't as accurate as 429421.

Haven't looked at it in the flesh yet. Was wondering what the diameter of the bevel base was. Would a gas check fit or is it too small?/beagle

might, it don't take much of a slope for one to crimp in place.
for sure a plain base check would go on, but it'd have to catch the edge of the slope there to clamp down good enough for me to try it.

Google will lead you to a February 2023 post about this bullet on the other forum. Nothing much there except for puzzled head-scratching as well.
