Now that is a range gun.
What kind of loads? Mine is a 2 screw 4 5/8” barrel but it shoots way better than it should.

That particular load is with the Lee group buy mold of years ago, a copy of the RCBS 230 CM, @ 235 gr, sized .452, driven by 5.3 gr WST and does 800 fps from that gun. The same load shoots great from my other old models 4 5/8 and 7 1/2. I have found the Ruger 45 Colt guns to shoot better than the shooter. The outliers in the targets were all called when the shot broke.

I've been too green to post :) That is one fine wheelgun, Cherokee, thanks for sharing the eye candy.

THAT is a barrel! Great for velocity and sight radius....but a bit unhandy for holster carry, I would
imagine. Prolly pretty nice on muzzle flip, too. Size matters. :)

When I was a young man, I carried a Ruger FT 357 Mag 10" in my tromping thru the everglades for years. Took lots of game with it and it never seemed to be a lot to carry. It's what you are accustomed to. Flip with the 45 Colt is not an issue but now days front sight wobble can be.

Gorgeous, tall drink of water there.

The 7.5" 454 has minor barrel envy.;)
