Should have this one in 2 days.
New in the box.
I bought it from a friend of mine in TN.

Yes, I saw that, good catch. I have the NOE that is close to it and it will shoot in almost every 30 cal I have.

Here's hoping I'll have just as good -a- luck as you've had Malcolm.
The large meplat may render it a good white-tail bullet.

I had one of those, that I bought used, looked like new. My particular mold was a bugger, when it came for it to release the bullets. I figure it needed
lee-menting or something ...about that same time, I got received a NOE XCB mold (from the first run) and then sold the Ranch Dog 6 cav 30 cal "as is". I still have some samples laying around, but I never loaded any.

Sounds like some minor " burrs " in the mold cavities.
As you stated, spinning a bullet with some very fine abrasive compound on it would have probably corrected that problem.

remember these were designed for the Marlin 30-30 lever guns.
they do well in other situations [probably be outstanding in a T/C 30-30 barrel] but that nose was designed to jump the Marlin throat gap.

I won't be shooting them in a Marlin, but I've got about a dozen other .30 cal. rifles that they might work in.

Why I have tried to pick them up as I see them. 3 Marlins - 30-30, 35 Rem and 45-70.
TLC 460-350-RF for the 45-70
TLC359-190-RF for the 35
and looking for the TLC311-165-RF for the 30-30

And, I might just have gotten lucky and found the one above!

OK Ben, you are not so BAD after all!!! You kicked up 2 more of these molds out of the weeds! And I bought them both - one for me and one for a buddy of mine. Thanx to Ian here for offering one up! I have nowcompleted my RD triumvirate!

I have both the original RD and the NOE version. Both work well for me.
I also have a couple of different weight 358 RD moulds and a 45-70 425 gr RD mould. Like an idiot I gave my original 350 gr 45-70 mould away but still ahve the NOE version.

Great bullets in Marlin rifles. Also shoot well in others if they can be seated at a reasonable length.

I had the 32/8mm Rd forever. and not even a 32 WS. So I sold it. and then, Karma 101, prob less than 3 mo later, got a 32 WS! Life just sucks sometimes...

That's why I just about never sell anything, but I'm starting to come around after drowning in piles of good stuff that, well, mostly doesn't get used. One sure way to make a good deal on something come along is to sell all the accessories you accumulated in case it did.

This mould and I also thank Ben for getting it out where it will be appreciated again. I have a Marlin that likes it, but likes another bullet better, so off to a new home it goes.

Well, now I can come clean! I certainly appreciate you offering up one for me! And another one was offered on Cast Boolits. I picked up both. 1 for me and 1 for a kid that I mentor that is building his stash and accumulating molds to get started with his levers. We will both be very happy! And me more so, as I get to mentor a new caster/lever shooter. Filling the gaps now that I don't coach baseball after 20 yrs of it. THANX!

Ben I sure wished NOE made his bullet diagrams as large as the one you showed. The wife can't enlarge hic pictures enough for me to see the dimensions.

Kevin,

Yes, it is always difficult for me to see the " fine print " also.
