Lately I have been making parts of various types that have one feature in common - the need to cut a bevel or angle on them somewhere. For some parts it is easy enough to turn the vise on the table and use the edge of a milling cutter to generate the surface. As the parts get bigger the endmill needed has to get larger and longer. There is a limit.
After checking out what was available on eBay I bought an adjustable angle plate with a 10" x 7" table with three T- slots. It can be adjusted from horizontal to vertical (in one direction only). There is a crank handle that is used to adjust the table which prevents it from going vertical in both directions. Both the manual mill and the Haas CNC mill have tables that are 10"+ wide so I can bolt it across either table without it hanging over the edges. I have several mill vises that can be bolted to the working surface along with all kinds of other fixturing - collet holders, V-blocks, etc.
The surprising thing was the price - less than $90 with free shipping. I ordered it Monday, so five days for delivery. I'm looking forward to using it.
