Almost blew up my AR today

Took the old lady out shooting with me today. I loaded up a bunch of 9mm just for her Sig 365. I powdercoated the bullets purple as that is her favorite color.

I was picking up the brass we shot out of the 9's as she was loading up the mags for the 556. I was banging away and then had a misfeed. I thought that was strange. This gun never misfeeds. I look into the port and the bullet was jammed up into the top of the extension. As I was looking at it it looked funny. I dropped the mag and ejected the round.

A 300 BLK OUT!!!!

I don't even own a 300BLK. I asked the old lady where it came from. She said she did not know. She dumped out the bullets onto the table and loaded them up. So there must have been one laying on the table????? Only way it could have happened. It scared the carp out of me. I have seen what that can do when fired in a 556.

Well I showed her the difference and let her know to never do that again.

Don't waste your money on a lottery ticket, you already used up the good luck for the day. I have seen the damage that combination can create. I like the Black Out, but just can not risk a screw up. Will stick with the one caliber in the black rifle and call it good.
