Hold the barrel in a barrel vise, hold the receiver with an action wrench, and turn the nut.
The reason the barrel is held in the bench fixture is threefold. The smaller diameter is harder to grip, the barrel resists clamping crush better than the receiver, and you can really crank hard on a barrel vise clamp mounted to the bench.

This barrel is same dia as receiver. But yes the "hole" is far larger in receiver.

Well I spun the barrel on & Its still about .007 fat. Rained here this aftnoon. Tomorrow Ill spin off & try again.

Still working on this. Im gettin real close and understandinly going slow and easy. (Easy to take off... NOT so easy to add it back!!)
Doing all this by hand!
I THOUGHT I had the ejection licked... Two test firings have NOT ejected. But pushed out VERY EASILY. Hope hope hope Its just excessive head space not allowing the extractor to snap around case rim. If I chamber a case SLOW AND EASY... It ejects. But If I close normal Im thinking it slides JUST THAT MUCH farther and claw cannot grasp.
