Hi,
Bob Dietmeyer, owned Pacific and designed all the Presses.

I have the first progressive 12Ga. press made, a DL-300 (Dietmeyer Loader!)...

Bair owned the foundry and made the castings for Pacific and then made for himself.

He and Bob had a falling out along the way and Hornady bought Pacific, or that is how I remember it.

Bob was a character, he would come in to work hung over and in a bad mood and fire everyone in the office and by the afternoon...

Be begging everyone to come back to work! Ha!

At large, whereabouts unknown.
Much of northern Lincoln NE was owned by Harley Bair. There are still streets and industrial areas named after him and his wife Doris.

I'm working on an old Texan shotshell progressive right now myself. I may end up going back to the old presses myself. my Redding press wore out some of the pin holes in the linkage after only about 10 years. A friend too pity on my and sold me an older Lyman turret press since Redding was balking about fixing it. Even the higher end stuff ain't so much anymore. They upset me so badly that I originally planned to sell the press on ebay for parts as unrepairable.

After its rebuild and using Forester Bench rest die set and checking with my repaired RCBS concentricity gauge. Im able to really see some solid numbers off this press. First loads for the 6mm where with 75g. Second loading was with 105's. It shows a liking for Heavier/Faster loadings.

I loaded up 40 in a ladder with re22 & 105g bullets.

Its a bit different and not a favorite. It has a nasty habit of "clicking" one or both of its shell holders as you seat a bullet knocking a few kernels of powder out of the case. I really dislike this... I haven't been able to pin down whats happening causing this. I REALLY REALLY need to stop it...
