My granddaughter is 10. When she comes over on weekends I can get her into an oversized old Carhart type barn coat with horse and sheep crap on it without a problem. But try to get her to put slippers on so she's not walking through the water she left on the floor because she didn't stomp her boots off outside...impossible. And she can't wear socks to bed, even if it's dropping to -40F that night and all she wants to cover with is a light blanket. Then she wakes up several times a night because she's cold!
