Re-assembling the Rogue-based Brittany Spaniel carrier. Just finished cutting a 4x4 Handi-Panel down to 40 x 31 to cover the Nissan Divide n Hide shelves in the back. The old front seat platform fits even better on the '16. She can stick her muzzle out of the front window while still sitting down. Getting near done with the back. My SV level trim has a headrest for the middle position in the rear seat. I can run a short length of 1x6 from on top of that headrest, straight to the armrest between he front seats. I can screw a short length of wood to act as a hook on the end of the 1x6 so it stays in place.

The SV trim has a smaller armrest than the Select, and that makes it more demanding to hop over the foot wide gap between the top of the folded back seats and the rear of the armrest. It's a long step down if she misses it...

Well, first trip out with the Brittany Spaniel attack cruiser.... Not bad, I've just got to put that 1x6x16 ramp into make it better. They had used wing plows to clear the shoulders. Gravel road was a bit splashy, not muddy, but not solid gravel...

Rolled over the two foot bank left from the wing plow and plodded east along the drainage ditch. Little one was busting through the crust about a third of the time... Finally, about 150 yards from the parking lot, she worked up a Rooster bird, which wasted no time launching itself across the ditch and onto private land...

I then turned around and slowly plodded back to the road. Belle thought getting out was a good thing and she came up behind me...

Anyways, on the way to Kaufmann's, we passed four Robins on the side of the road... Huh, does that mean the Woodcock are coming up as well? Oh, be careful, they now have LandJagers with Door County Cherries... Read the label carefully... For those of us used to firm LandJagers, biting into a cherry is not what we expected.

Little one is sleeping right now, she finally got out after well over a month of staying home... It will be above freezing until Sunday night, so heading out again won't be fun until either the snow mostly melts or the snow freezes.
