I have a double cav. Lyman 311467
( the heavy weight Loverine ).

One of the cavities is gas checked and a HP.
The other cavity, I plain based about 7 years ago.

My Handi, 30-30 single shot, loves the plain base version of the 311467 with 7.2 grs. of B'eye. At 50 yards it will just " chew a hole out ".

This particular plain base .30 cal. cast bullet makes for some accurate, easy to assemble, and cheap to shoot ammo !

All get the lower 3 rings filled with Ben's Red and then the bullets were rolled in BLL.

I've sized the 2 top bands .302", all other bands are sized to .310".

That's a real neat mold, Ben. Darn nice bullets too.

My biggest problem with plain based rifle bullets is, I need a ton of them. Can never have enough of them.:)

I have about three , plain base, .30 cal. moulds that are double cav., I can crank them out with a double cav.

I like single cav. moulds, but obviously if volume is the name of the game, they are not your friend.

Of course, Al at NOE can fix you up with a nice aluminum 5 cavity plain base .30 mold if you're willing to part with the $ $ $.

Here is one of my nicest two cavity plain base .30 moulds, the Accurate ( 31 - 175 BP ) , it is a clone of the SAECO # 315. A great plain base .30 cal. cast bullet.
