Burglars beware. :)

Heck of a group for quick shooting. Now for clay birds in the air. Just joking on that, few places any more
have a safe place to shoot a handgun at an aerial target, unless shot were used.

Can he work the double action? I'm thinking hand reach may be too small yet to make that work.
He'll grow into it.

I had to let go of an OMM in 22 LR some years back. That one HURT to let go of, but the County was jacking me around on an injury claim/worker's comp thing, and I had bills to pay. Moral of that story--don't get hurt in lean budget years. Despicable.......had to part with several war toys while my dollars waited on their dime.

I do have a very nice predecessor to the OMM now--a 6" Officer's Model Target from c. 1949. It is a JEWEL, and it shoots VERY well. I treat it with deference, #358429 at about 800 FPS is an all-day delight if I am so inclined at the range. 4.0 grains of WW-231 and CCI #500s with the Lymans sized at .358". Many is the jackrabbit that got whacked with these loads from 38 Specials over the years. The 38 Special is a wonderful, accurate cartridge.

Yessir. The County just loves to starve out their injured employees in order to gain leverage in litigation. Ancient history now. I am well beyond their reach in retirement. I managed to keep body & soul together for the duration of that time, and got in some WONDERFUL fishing in MT and WY as well as some decent hunting while dis-employed. Not the first time I supplemented the home larder with fish and game taken astream and afield. Oh, yeah--trout, pheasant, and chukar partridge are just AWFUL as table fare. The worst.

Lean times, for one reason or another, seems to be the lot of those of us who work for a paycheck. When it is behind us, we find it made us better and stronger people.

Ernest Hemingway was a Communist jerk and a mediocre saltwater angler, but once in a while he came up with decent ideas in his books. One that has stuck with me since I read The Old Man And The Sea in middle school--"A man can be destroyed, but he cannot be defeated." Even from an idiot you can learn what NOT to do, and "giving up" is not one of my policy elements. Ever.
