Amazing. Wonderful, I am certain that if it was sold on the net that it went to someone who would
appreciate it because they would have to pay a modest fortune for it, so would certainly be an admirer
of that sort of work.
Thanks for sharing. Being pretty ignorant of such things, Ben, what would you estimate that that
rifle would sell for on the open market? I would guess $3000-4000, but I might be way off, since
I have no real yardstick for comparison, a pure guess.
And fiver "because I wanted it and can afford it" is ALWAYS a good answer, IMO. I never, ever
begrudge people spending money they earned on toys that they want. As I said years ago to
a (late) friend who said "I need that gun." I said, "Hah!, we passed :"Need" about 8 exits back and are
way off into "Want" now. " He grinned because he knew that with several large gun safes
overflowing, it was true.
I have no problem with "Want". A large number of my gun acquisitions fall into that categorie,
but none of my guns are that fancy or beautiful.
