Fired ten times, fell over my chair twice, and got one dove. Success!

Yesterday was a bit of a struggle, fog came in and stayed around until @ 9AM. Sorta hard with a fog that is colored some by the sunrise, and doves flying out of it. Attack of the zombie dove apocalypse? It started to rain this morning @ 6AM, some flash-flash, bang-bang, and 7 tenths of an inch.

Now I have two working Mojo Doves, and about ten clip ons. Only downside is the chopped cornfield is clay heavy... Sticks to your treads...

Up here in the North in PA; We can only hunt doves in the afternoon & evenings!
By time I get out of work anymore; I'm too tied to hoist my old 311 Stevens to the sky
Years ago when I was a young buck I would hunt the afternoons until dark!

Went with "duck boy" (#3 son) yesterday. Not much flying as this field had been shot over pretty good. The alternative spot wasn't gonna work because it's been many moons since hunting there.Google earth may work for the kids, but I need to scout....no biggy.Just ain't fumbling around in the dark, duck boy.He sorta gets it.

Had good looking sets with the decoys.Singles and a few dbles.Showed him how to dove whistle.I fell off stool once, haha.Had plenty of hydration but lacking food...well,technically we were shooting that. We're thinking cooler and stove next?

When stationed in Pa, I used to hunt dove over around Chambersberg. Good shooting
Most days in early season, was able to get a limit and averaged about 35%, which I felt
was pretty good. Always took two boxes of 20's when I shot dove. Actually, got a limit
one time with just one box.
