I am enjoying it!!

Last night I started a d finished today, loading up some 165 NOE RD bullets on top of 20,21,22,23 & 23.5g 4198. I shot 19 & 21.5 last week.

I found a few hundred LEE Ranch Dogs cast & Coated a couple years back. I just gas checked them. Ill size .310 later after ice...

Knee is really being slow to heal, isn't it? What's your recovery prognosis?
Thanks. At this time, we are unsure. I keep hearing "Its not been that long".
So, I'll keep resting and icing the knee and going to therapy. (The knee keeps hurting)

I continue to be impressed with this rifle. Was a clear and sunny day temps right at freezing. No wind before 09:30. But as shooting time arrived... so did the wind machine!! Grrrr

22g 4198 seems to be sweet spot. As I approached 24 groups moved lower and wider.

18/19 shot better then fair but 22 shot touching @ 50. Nice improvement with this peep!!!

I shot three 24g shots at this target too. Two below the group are two of the three the third was lower still. The one high Im blaming in conditions. It was cold but wind was atrocious!!! Actually whistling!!

This is my 140hp on top of 25g Re7. It also printed low but grouped OK.

Again wind conditions where an effect here. I think this would be close to a 1-1.5" 50 yard group. That left bullet is 100% wind. Not just its effect on the bullet in flight. It was moving ME!!

I also shot my first ever "zinkers". Unsure of mold but bullet weighed 81g. Loaded with 9g Unique. Shot to POA and grouped OK!

Over all a quick but enjoyable visit!!

I don't remember the exact charge now and the moves lost at least one book .......
I do know that the 312-155 checked and 310-160(?)2R PB both shot touching holes with IMR 4350 150 jacketed data start loads minus 2.0 gr from Lyman #48 . MV was 2100-2150 , near max load MV for jacketed .

313226 (32 ACP 97gr RN) was similarly small groups on 3-5 gr of Unique .

It shot like groups with NOS yellow boxed Win Silver tips 150&175 and PPU 150 SP .

The barrel band at least on that one had little effect on POI which I thought was odd .

I did not remove it but did check it was tight.
I also didnt find it a problem.

I haven't yet received the mold from Arsenal. Hoping soon.

they generally like to be just about crushing the wood grain tight,,, tight.
I think I slipped a little piece of matchbook up in front of the barrel band under the barrel last time I had mine apart.

Didn't I sell you a GC Ranch Dog mould just like that? Been trying to remember who got that one, but that brain cell has long ago exited the hanger.

Both of those are PB molds.

The NOE was a group buy over the other place. Some years back.
Arsenal was factory direct.

Do you need some? We can talk in PM.

I was just trying to refresh my memory. My go-to, and I'll will cry when it wears out, is a Lee 311041 group buy copy that is just splendid in every subtle way (by accident, I'm sure).

screwing up the 041 would be an improvement... LOL
i have a 20% success rate with mine and one of them was on accident, but I'll take it.
it even has normal diameters,, so you'd think.....
