The paper shim I used today is still in place. I got to thinking, a penny or a dime would be the thing to try, a nickel if thicker is needed.

I'm fortunate, I have a cigar box full of shim stock of varying thicknesses.
Really helps in situations like this.

As far as that goes I do have access to rear differential shims that are measured in .000ths.
