That's a pretty wild looking 1911. Looks like the valor is a not threaded model, I'm assuming your must be the discretion, surprise to find its aluminum frame. I bet that is a nice shooter & not obscenely heavy even with the can.

Mine is an oddball. CZ is here in KC, and my LGS is where the President came to shoot IPSC years ago
when she first came to the USA, where I got to know here and other folks who work at CZ. That shop
gets all sort of odd DW 1911s as "blems" marked down, which is what this was. No vented slide like
the Discretion, all black finish, fine checkering on the grip front, tall sights and threaded bbl. The
beveled thick SS bushing, too. Alloy frame, ramped SS barrel, whatever they call it, it is a nice
package, IMO.

In any case, very nice custom, hand built pistol that works just perfectly with the Ti-Rant. The box
says Valor, I think, but I'll look and see what it exactly calls it.

And yes, the frame seems to be about right on balance, keeping the package at least reasonably
light. I go to the LGS every Friday night, even though we don't shoot in the Friday night matches
any more, and peruse the inventory, and meet with a few friends for dinner. Occasionally, when I
ask "so what's new and interesting" they have something really neat, even if I don't buy it, I have
handled many really interesting guns there, and bought a fair number, too.
