A buddy handed me a box of gun stuff at his annual yard sale, said it needed a new home! In that box is a set of dies for “ 22 Rhett’s” made by “Holleywood Gun Shop”. I’ve never heard of the cartridge nor the shop. Any info on either?

Wasn't there some sort of Hollywood reloading press that is highly sought after?

I can check my cartridges of the world book, it might show something in there.

Hollywood made presses from the mid/late 1930's until sometime in the 1970's. The business burned down in 2013, badly burning the current owner. He made parts for the many styles of presses and and dies, etc., on a custom order business.

No information on a "22 Rhett's" wildcat.

This is the most common style of press, "The Senior".

Ric covered it pretty well above. I only have one press and it's the same as the one in the picture. Winelover has a similar one, but has a turret. They made several different turret presses. Also made dies, swaging tools and powder measures.

They were a full service maker of many style presses, but none cheap. They were the Packard of presses for many years and cost about 4 times as much as an RCBS. Their top of the line turret press had twelve stations on top, six for shotgun dies with inserts for regular Pacific dies. Plus a turret for primer punches two for shotgun and two for brass cases. All you needed was money.

Thanks for the info.
I was hoping maybe they were the shop there in Hollywood that did all the custom work for the cowboys in the old westerns. Like the Colt single actions and Winchester lever actions that consistently were capable of knocking bad guys out of the saddle from hundreds of yards away! Lol

Eight station (1.5" threaded holes) Hollywood Senior Turret with adaptors for 7/8" die threads. This press was originally set up for 12 gauge shot shells........which I still have but don't reload shotgun shells. Also came with two Hollywood micrometer powder measures and two Hollywood shot measures. Came out of my BIL's father's estate. Practically, in mint condition, he died in a motorcycle crash in the 70's. Never used till I obtained it, several years ago.
