I picked that one up yesterday as well!!
It was absolutely abused and a basket case. Bad pitting and absolutely BASHED sides and corners. Its missing alignment pins and has no Spure plate at all. But insides are very good. Slides and keepers and screws are all there. Someone started "fixing" it but has the top out of alighn and square.
I got it washed and scrubbed yesterday. I disassembled and made new alignment pins. It had stop pin for spure plate. I removed that and milled to top dead flay. Removing about .0065 of material. I "dressed" the sides where worst burrs was. (Think old splitting mall or sledge hammer head) Ooh the insanity of why this would be done!!!!!
I have it soaking in evapo-rust to get rest of corrosion off.
As you guys know better then me. The mold makes wadcutter like bullets of adjustable weights.
More as I continue its rehab.
But its a neat old mold we done see today.
