How to post a picture...?

Hi fellas, new guy here...was wondering about this and where I might post such a question, also if theres a thread where you can try it for practice before messing up someones post with my mistakes.
All I've found is something about [BB CODES] or some-such thing...don't understand as I'm a computer dinosaur not a whiz kid?
Could be there's a simple answer but thus far I don't see it...Anyone want to comment?

Hi Charlie, Welcome to the forum. Great avatar BTW.

This forum software works a bit differently. To post a picture click on "upload a file". A window will pop up, select your pictures folder and select your picture. It will place your selected picture in a thumb nail but at that time you can select full image. This is your thread here, practice away right here.
