Here at the yard, they have an old (1960s) cabover yard tractor. The guy who runs and fixes it is a fairly smart self-taught mechanic.
Yesterday, while he was working on it, I noticed that the cab could've gone up much higher. He said that's all it'll do, but it used to go up all the way. The hydraulic oil is full, and the fifth wheel lift functions as it should. I didn't pay attention, but I assume the cab jack has a separate pump. There are no external leaks in the rams or hoses.
Anyone have any ideas?
