I wish I had my own walk in cooler...

I have drug out several elk, snow and gravity help, but if it tries to overrun you, you'd better get out of the way!

The last one that I drug, it was about 30 yards downhill that I had to go. Just about killed me.

The first rule of elk hunting, is to shoot it somewhere that you can get a vehicle on the downhill side.

Might be different if you had horses, but I don't.

Hunting on horseback is pretty convenient. Still, anything larger than a medium sized deer and you need a pack horse or mule. Other thing I liked about hunting on horseback is, if your kill is attracting predators, your horse will almost always give you advance notice.
