IMR RED:
The second powder in this new family was designed to be an efficient, clean-burning, 12-gauge target powder. IMR Red also performs nicely in various lead pistol target loads, such as match competition loads and Cowboy reduced loads.

IMR GREEN:
IMR Green, the third in this new family is slightly slower-burning than IMR Red, making it an ideal Trap Handicap powder and soon a favorite with Sporting Clays enthusiasts.

IMR UNEQUAL:
IMR Unequal combines small-sized flakes for uniform metering in all pistol applications and its burn speed accommodates a wide range of shotshell and pistol cartridges.

IMR BLUE:
Having the slowest burn speed of the five new propellants, IMR BLUE is well-suited for for heavy 12-gauge 2¾-inch, 3-inch and 3-1/2-inch field loads.

Went to Hodgdon and I didn't see Red. In my happy place, found three pounds of SR-4759 today...

I didn't look and cross index load data between these and the "dot powders"... and I will sometime... but I'm guessing this might be a marketing effort simply renaming Red Dot, Green Dot, etc?

I'm well supplied with shotgun powders at the moment, but the day will come when I'll need to figure out what these new powders do. Have a hunch they change these names and burn rates ever so slightly just to keep us old farts on our toes.

Congrats on scoring some 4759, I'm always on the lookout too.

Those seem confusingly familiar ....... I wonder if there is some marketing strategy in there.

They released 5 new powders, I only see 4.
Aaaahhhh, the other is Target.

Sure looks like some copycat names at a minimum.

I'm going to make the same disgruntled remark I always do in response to new "whizbang" powders: Restore the supply of the proven, standby canister powders and THEN go fooling with the boutique specialty stuff. Nothing much new under the sun, as usual, except the bastids discontinued my beloved PB for a bunch of dot knock-offs that have already been serving well for four generations by other makers.

Now, if IMR would engineer a powder with the weight/volume characteristics of Trail Boss, yet make it burn exactly like Unique (instead of Titewad), THAT would be worth introducing to the world.

Too bad we are not closer, I have a couple LB's of PB, I haven't tried yet. If I get rid of them, I won't know what I'm missing

OK,"Unequal" and "Tightwad"....sounds like some contractor friends.

I'll also check the marketing trickery "ballet box" on the OP names
