...until today!!!

I went to the range today to finish off my 30 Badger loads, they were a wee bit too lite and left some unburnt powder in the bore. As I was shooting the president of the club came down and we started BS-ing, I had him shoot the Badger and told him when he needed the indoor trap cleaned to let me know.

He asked if I found a scope for the 30-06 yet and we got to talking about proper mounts. So he says he wants to give me some lead and can I swing by his house... Well sure! I show up and he gives me 2 5 gallon buckets of *almost* powdered 22 lr bullets, It has to be 200 lb and then about 30 ft of lead water pipe!

Then he goes in his house and brings out a scope, a Bausch & Lomb Balvair 8 with the mounts! This is a 2.5x8x32 scope where the mounts adjust the POI. He says I would sell this do you like it? I said yeah how much?

$75

I walked away with a kick arse scope and 250 ish lb of lead, a great day!!!

Congratulations! It was your day. Now it is your turn to "make someone else's day"! At my age if I find someone under 30 who wants anything I have for shooting, I make sure he gets it regardless of the price.

That is very generous, my luck is just awful when it comes to gun stuff. I can't count the times I was *this* close to a great deal.

I will be paying it forward for sure, we have to take care of our own.
