.22 yes? Looks like a .22 cylinder. Nice.

Does it come with a .22 mag cylinder, too?

Is the frame aluminum? I'm thinking that funky color has to be anodizing. If aluminum, that must be a nice little carry gun for fishing and such. Probably don't know it's there.

Aluminum frame, Cera-coat finish. Cold hammer forged barrel. No on the 22mag. Thats usually the Heritage 22. Seen way to many bad reviews from the Heritage. And they use a zinc frame. They had several of them at the store where I got this. The cyl gap was huge on every one I looked at in all of the different Heritage models there.

I've wanted one of those for a long time. Just never got around to it. I have far too much 22lr ammo, and that wrangler would be a good way to reduce some.

Not too bad from the reviews I have seen. I have a bunch of different 22's to use. Hopefully something is good. Some really old stuff but nohing newer than 10 years old.

Nice looking little guns.

Not available in Minnesota due to the law to protect us all from the Saturday Night Specials with Zinc frames. :( Somehow I don't see the Yutes in the cities using these for carjacking.

@Tomme boy , are the grip frames aluminum too?

If so, I'd have to suspect they are a bit lighter than a Single Six, which would be appealing to me. I've seen them in Rural King, but haven't handled one.

How do these shoot?

I have a Single-Six which is quite an unimpreesive shooter accuracy wise. Maybe it's just a Lemon.
My stainless Bicentennial SS convertible was not a good shooter until I realized it had bad thread choke. It took many rounds of fire lapping to erode that stainless Ruger uses, but the accuracy steadily improved until I chickened out at about 100 rounds. I use CCI CB Longs rolled in 320 grit Clover valve grinding compound. It is a slow miserable procedure, shooting six, cleaning, testing, shooting six more, cleaning, aaaarrggghhh.

The most noticeable is when using .22 mag ammo, it is actually dangerous to what it is pointed at now.

The Ruger is a aluminum frame not zinc. The Heritage are the ones that are zinc
Thanks for pointing that out. Even though it is not Zinc, the Wrangler is still prohibited for sale in Minnesota due to the useless Saturday Night Special Law.

Looking on Ruger's website, the Talo Distributor Exclusive really caught my eye. A very nice looking gun.

Don't have a lot of love for single actions, the grip just doesn't fit my hand all that well and in any kind of powerful caliber I just can't hang on to one. That said, these little rascals in .22LR look like they might be a lot of fun. Rural King has the black versions for right at $200 if you don't mind being on back order for a few days. I may do something nice for myself and get on the list. The closest RK store is less than a mile from our shop, I go there to buy work gloves and miscellaneous shop supplies several times a year.

@KeithB I am the same way with the grip. But this is a 22 so it won't bite me shooting it. Shooting my FIL's 44 Blackhawk the other day reminded me why I don't like the grip. But the little 22 fits better in the hand for me.

Will get out soon to see how it shoots. A good thing is it will slow down the ammo I shoot. 22rf is the only ammo I buy like most of us. Last stuff I bought was $12/500 brick. Been a while since I bought any.

Some feel this way with plow handle pistols. These hare offered in a "BIRDS HEAD" grip too. Now EXACTLY as you say they are NOT RECOIL friendly but we are talking Rimfired a d for these they are DELIGHTFUL! Even my 327 Fed supah mag is NO ISSUE with the birds head and it fits your hand (most hands) so well.

I suggest you put hands on one and see if its to your liking.

I like those grips, CW. Especially on the Bronze Wrangler- what are they?
I've had 4 Wranglers since they were introduced. Three have gone to my grown kids, and I'm keeping the fourth one. The first one needed some file work on the front sight to correct POI, but the others were good to go. I've unhooked one leg of the trigger spring on all four to improve the trigger pull- and replaced the grips on all of them.
In my opinion, they are well worth $200 new or used.
I believe that the frame is indeed Zamak/zinc whatever- but the grip frame and ejector housing are aluminum.
Blackhawk and Single- Six grips fit the Wrangler, but are a tad short on the lower edge- not too big of a deal.
