Lachmiller Engineering Precision Priming Tool Instructions

The Lachmiller is my favorite priming tool. I replaced the two top set screws with finger adjustable screws. The priming rods are easy to make. I have one for domed face LR primers and one large diameter that is a little bit longer. I've had this for 50 years! Back when Lachmiller was part of Penguin Industries, as was Hoppes.

My Dad had one of these. When I was ready to buy My own, RCBS had bought Lachmiller and simplified it. Still have it too.

Just like mine, haven't used it in years. Switched to hand tool long time back. Don't lose those priming posts, RCBS told me years back they did NOT have anymore.

Fortunately, the posts are fairly easy to make. Think mine was old enough to have rounded posts for both flat and rounded primers. But, haven’t encountered any for years./beagle

Having the centering bushings are the part that is almost always lost to time. I use the Same Lachmiller Tools. Powder Measures and Shotshell Presses. For most collectors they are not old enough to be interesting. If you purchased the conversion kit from your gun shop in the early 1960's this the sales unit packaging to convert the Priming Press to Standard Shell Holders.

Must have bought the kit when I got mine. Sitting in the shop and I just rebox’d the Lachmiller parts. Got all that stuff, 4 priming punches and I think 4 bushings. I’m in good shape if the backup to my backup to my backup priming system fails./beagle

Well I wasn't born until 1965 so even this "not so old a stuff" predates me.
