Cold weather makes a warm woodstove all the more enjoyable. We go out to our cabin
at 9500 ft in the Colorado Rockies a couple of times every winter, still enjoy the snow and cold,
but on our terms and when we can end it in a week or two.
An old Russian saying that I learned. "There is no bad weather, only bad clothes."
I have been perfectly comfortable going for a couple of hours walk in -25F weather in
Russia after dinner. Properly dressed with my fur ushanka, flaps down, not a problem.
