Looking for a better bottom pour pot.

I don't cast as often as I used to, but I'm thinking about replacing my 20# lee dripomatic.
From what I've read, the promelt 2 looks like the way to go.
The mould guide doesn't look very good on it, but it wouldn't take too much to make a better one for standard moulds. The rg moulds might take a little bit of engineering to make a good guide for them, though.
Anyhoo, what do you think about the promelt2?

Promelt is a great pot. Got one in 91 and used it until a few years ago. I moved up to the Magma 40 pounder and a ladle.

Hard to go wrong with the RCBS pot.

The new ones are craptastic chinesium with no spare parts available. Better off getting another Lee or if you have the cash, spoil yourseld and get a Magma.

Sad, but true. I rebuilt my Lyman a few years back, and so far it was one of the smartest things I've ever done. That said, I'd pop for a Magma if I could afford it. They come highly recommended.

Wow! Rcbs used to make good stuff and replace anything that broke instantly. That's sad to hear.
