Thanks for those suggesting American select... it's a wonderful powder!!! Tested thru my 308, Rem 788... 314299 @311, 7.5gr of powder... just amazing!!! Plenty of authority to knock down rams at 100, and groups like it's on fire!! This was my first test, and think I'm done with messing around with the powder chg.

Very nice. Is that a plain based 314299? I have a plain based mold for the 311284 which is the best thing going in .30-06 that I've found, but I wouldn't have thought of trying it in .308.

I have one of the short barreld 788s in .308, haven't shot it in a long time, might be time to give her a try.

Yup! Have it in a 2cav... 1 pb/1gc. The 788 is a fav... older 4x leupold, and she runs really really well!
