Lyman Bullet Lubes via Internet Archive. Folks, I am NOT touting any flavor of Lube. This is what Lyman said. By all means, chime in on how well each worked for your application, but I'm not selling any Lube...

Orange Magic Premium Bullet Lube - A Premium bullet lube for high performance loads. This hard lubricant is designed to provide higher velocities with cast pistol and rifle bullets without leading. It will not melt out of loaded ammunition at high temperatures. (Recommended for use with the Lyman Lube Heater.) All Lyman stick lubricants are hollow and fit the 4500 Sizer/ Lubricator and similar Sizing/Lubricating tools, including RCBS.
" Great lubricant for high velocities with lead bullets. It has a low smoke output which makes it perfect for rapid fire pistol shooting. Recommended for use with a lube heater."

Black Powder Gold Bullet Lube - designed for long range black powder cartridge shooters. Match proven Black Powder Gold was formulated for long range black powder shooting. It keeps fouling soft and flows through lube sizers for effortless bullet lubing. It can be applied by hand to muzzleloading bullets. All Lyman stick lubricants are hollow and fit the 4500 Sizer/ Lubricator and similar Sizing/Lubricating tools, including RCBS.
"Specifically formulated for black powder shooting. It has a high melting temperature which makes it ideal for long range shooting. This does not require a heater when sizing and lubricating."

Super Moly Bullet Lube - Bullet lube with the Moly advantage. The Molybdenum Disulfide in this lube coats the barrel for increased velocity and improved accuracy. In addition, it virtually eliminates leading and it flows through lube sizers without heat, yet won’t melt at 130°. All Lyman stick lubricants are hollow and fit the 4500 Sizer/ Lubricator and similar Sizing/Lubricating tools, including RCBS.
"All purpose, high performance lubricant. Has Molybdenum Disulfide added for increased velocity. Works in lubricator/sizers without a heater. Recommended for any shooting situation."

Alox Lube - The classic and proven NRA Formula. All Lyman stick lubricants are hollow and fit the 4500 Sizer/ Lubricator and similar Sizing/Lubricating tools, including RCBS.
"Best all around to 2000 fps. Made up of 50% Alox and 50% Beeswax. This is the standard NRA formula."

Ideal Lube - Ideal Lube, a Lyman Original. The original, all-purpose Lyman formula. All Lyman stick lubricants are hollow and fit the 4500 Sizer/ Lubricator and similar Sizing/Lubricating tools, including RCBS.
"Best for low velocity pistol shooting to 1200 fps."

I've used 3 of the above listed lubes, although they weren't always made by Lyman, e.g. NRA 50/50 Alox, which works wonderfully for many (most?) applications. Super Moly works well enough, but it dries out and then won't stay in the lube grooves. Although it doesn't require much heat to run through a lube sizer, it will stain anything it touches; pricey too. Lastly, I've used Orange Magic, but from its original maker, D.G.P. Shay* in West Covina, CA. It is a hard lube that definitely requires heat to apply and is best used for CB loads of 1,750 fps or greater. Btw, none of these has ever produced much leading in my guns.

Shay used to advertise in The Fouling Shot. Very pleasant to deal with too.

I ended up with quite a bit of Orange Magic when purchasing a sizer. Only ever used it in pistol loads that didn't get much higher than1200 fps or so. Worked okay and smelled a bit like oranges when fired instead of like Alox. Did use a heater when lubing also.

Yes, else it wouldn't flow. Btw, when Shay owned that lube, it was known as Odorous Orange Prime and it did have a distinct citrus aroma. so did his other lubes, btw.
