Howdy gents

I've been making holsters as a hobby for some years.
The latest is a trio of holsters for my mother's lcr. The first is a simple belt holster. The second will be an in the waistband and the third is a paddle holster. That should cover her needs well.

This one's ready for finish. I will put an acrylic finish on this one.

You might also try Fiebings Leather Balm With Atom Wax. Not as water resistant as acrylic, but leaves a beautiful finish. The wax can build up in your stampings.

If I was going to make one suggestion it would be to use a finer stitch. More stitches per inch, a smaller awl hole, and a finer waxed thread.
20 plus years ago when my wife and I were serious ML shooters I made a fair number of shooting bags for people. I learned quickly that by splitting the common artificial sines into 1/4 or 1/2 the size and making stitches 1/5 inch of so I got a better looking stitch line.

Here are a couple examples of what I mean. The stitches are even, fine, and straight. Makes a big difference in appearance and is actually easy to do.

Stop by some day and I will show you how I do it. After making better than 60 bags like that I got pretty good at it.

Thanks for the tips.

Here is the start on the other 2. The one that's form inside out is a liner for the paddle holster. And the other rps20150406_174731.jpg will be the iwb.
