I had a couple with a plate like that I think . It was very brief . I'm thinking an Ohaus for a .510 dia 50 cal .

It looks like a Green Mountain Mold, but I really can’t tell for sure? I spotted a Green Mountain Mold on Ebay a few years back, I hadn’t seen one til then?

I looked up Green Mountain,
They had vent lines in the ones I saw.
This doesn’t have any?
Could be a custom?
Thanks

I agree, i just went and looked at the Green Mountain Mold i Thought yours looked like? I was wrong, it is definitely different. The Green Mountain Molds Look nearly identical to TC Molds, and were Aluminum. The Sprue Plate is nothing like yours either. Interesting Mold you Have! I am curious to know exactly what it is as Well?

I've seen that sprue plate .........

Old West and older MP moulds are similar but are squared off vs going all the way out to a point .

The only example of the Ohaus moulds I found have the very long lever on the plate but I briefly had a pair of 58 cal SWC moulds that I'd swear had a plate like that . As I recall they weren't well marked either gave 20 buck for a 22&26 cal Lyman single to go with those 2 that as near as I could make out were NOS one never opened .

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
I have a Green Mtn mould, iron and not like that. Doesn't look like Ohaus or Dixie. Rapine made a lot back then but the ones I've seen were very plainly marked, and they may have been aluminum. Assuming the "1 83" is the production date, it could have been one of the many small concerns that popped up around the Bi-Centennial in '76 and that stayed around for a few years. They used to call it, "The Black Powder Craze". Othoer than that, I got nuthin'. .515 is for a what? Enfield civil war type rifle?

rapines were aluminum, but they took handles just like the LEE 2 cavity uses.
the mold blocks are patterned after the lyman/ideal blocks just in brass.

maybe old west bullet molds.
I know they do Brass, but it's been quite a while since I seen one.
maybe check their website.

Old West use to be Ken Chapman,
I talked to him years ago.
I think Bernie Rowles ? Had it or did have it?
.515 could be for a oversized 50-70?
Thanks
