New in original box. MP Molds 32 Sledgehammer- Solid, .311 GC,
8 Cavity Aluminum. Suited for light 30 Caliber use.
Turns out a 140 grain , gas check, flat nose.
Just might make a good bullet in my 30-30's with a dose of Unique or 2400 powder ?

Wow, very impressive mould!
I do not doubt you will make it shoot!
Have you thought about plain basing any of the cavities?

The thought has crossed my mind, but I may cast with it " as is " for the 1st few thousand bullets and shoot them with g/cs before I do anything like that. I already have a fairly large number of .30 cal. plain base moulds. Thanks for your comments.

5-6gr of tightgroup & she might shoot fine without the check the way it is.

Ben,
Just think, each time you open the mold you can pull the trigger 8 times!!!! Now, that’s efficiency!

The mould arrived this morning.
Obviously, I had to get out and cast with it.
It is a pleasure to cast with.
The 8 cavity blocks can make a BIG pile of bullets in a hurry.

That looks like a very good and versatile bullet design to me, bet you can make it shoot in just about any .30 cal. Congratulations!

I've read many of your post and looked at many of your pictures. You will make it shoot accurate. I just know it.

I'd be worried about where the COG is placed it looks a touch forward and might do pretty well at lower speeds.

Yes, that has crossed my mind also.
However , if you look closer , roughly 3/4 of the bullet is in contact with the bore.
